Study of Local Fibre BRITISH INTEREST With the object of studying the local fibre used iu the weaving of pucks and sacks, Mr. 11. D. Sinclair, of Fairburn. Lawson, Combe, Barbour, Ltd., Leeds and Belfast, is at present visiting New Zealand. He arrived in II ellington from Auckland on Il’eduesday. In an interview with “Tile Dominion,” Air. Sinclair said he had been studying for about two years the subject in which he was interested. He saw no large problems on the broad lines, but wished to satisfy himself on points of detail on the spot. His company, which was associated with the firm of Urquhart, Lindsay, and Robertson, Orchar, Ltd., Dundee, had already established in Persia and in Central America factories for the manufacture of fibre into packs and sacks. While in New Zealand he proposed to visit the flax areas,_ and after investigation generally his advice would be available to New Zealand Wool, Pack, and Textiles, Ltd.
