BOY SAVES FATHER

Rescued from Drowning TRAPPED IN MOTOR-CAR Dominion Special Service. Stratford, June 15. A large sedan car, driven by- Mr. C. McAloon, of Te Wora, skidded on the road near his home at Stratford, and capsized over a 15 feet bank into a swamp, where it, landed upside down, with the wheels spinning in the air, the hood being in three or four feet of water. Mr. McAloon was accompanied by his 12 years old son and several little girls. Fortunately the doors opened as the car crashed, and the girls and boy were able to escape. The boy noticed that his father was still in the car wedged in the driver’s seat through the back seat falling forward. His bead was under water, and bis plight seemed hopeless. The boydashed into the water, however, and after several attempts succeeded in freeing bis father.
