WORKERS’ EDUCATION

Lecture on “Child Psychology”

The commencement of the Workers/! Educational Association classes .at the Hutt has proved most encouraging, for, on Tuesday night nearly 50 persons were present. The lecturer was Mr. A. E. Campbell, M.A., and his subject was! “Child Psychology.” . The lecturer, dealt with the physical, mental, and emotional development of iha child from birth, and in doing so, emphasised the interdependence of these three phases of development.

TENNIS CLUB DANCE

The Eastern Hutt Tennis Club held a successful dance In Miss Draper's studio on Wednesday night. There was a good attendance. Mr. GilUghan acted as M.C. Lett Arnold’s Marimba Band supplied the music. SPIRITUAL CAMPAIGN

The free churches of Lower Hutt will hold a spiritual campaign during May. in an effort to create a spiritual revival which shall help to meet the great need of the day. During the first three weeks united services are to be held in the various churches twice weekly, and during tire last week services are to be held nightly .in the Methodist Church, some of the speakers being the Rev. Bolton Smith, of-Vivian Street Baptist Church; the Rev. John Hubbard, M.A., 8.D., of the Kelburn Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. George Carpenter, who is “Uncle George,” of 2YA. Dr. Temple, Archbishop ,of .York, recently held a similar campaign in Oxford.
