VINOGRADOFF CONCERT
Most people who are iu any way interested iu music are by now familiar with tlie broad outlines of Paul Yinogradofl’s musical career. Seldom has a frontrank pianist had sueh a chain of romantie episodes while at the height of his powers. Vinogradoff. something of an infant prodigy, gave his first recital at (he age of eight; that was in 1896. The programme for his concert at (he 'Town Hall Concert Chamber to-night is as follows: Bach’s Chromatic Fantasia ami Fugue, Beethoven's “Appnssionata” Sonata and Schumann’s delightful collection of little pieces under the group title of “Carnival.” The second part of the programme includes a Chopin bracket (Waltz in A fiat, Nocturne in C minor, and Scherzo in B minor), a Scriabin group (Poem iu F sharp), and Studies in F sharp and D sharp minor; finally.
