Southerly Wind & Showers in City The weather in Wellington yesterday was showery. A strong southerly wind was blowing. A boisterous south-west wind was blowing at Auckland; the weather was cloudy and showery in the morning, but fine during the afternoon and evening. After rain in the early morning the weather at Christchurch was dull and tbreateuing till the early afternoon, when the sun shone out. Tlie wind was fresh from the south-south-west- The maximum temperature was 56 degrees. It was tine for the greater part of the day at Dunedin, although threatening at. times. A cold south-westerly breeze was blowing.
