Napier Quake Victim BRISTOL SCHOLARSHIP Father’s Generous Offer As a memorial to his son, Mr. Michael Baker, who lost his life in the Masonic Hotel, Napier, during the earthquake, Mr. Hiatt Baker, of Almondsbury, near Bristol, England, who is a member of the Council of Bristol University, has generously offered, through the Governor-General (wlm was formerly chairman of the Agricultural Committee of the University), a scholarship in perpetuity of £2OO, to be held at Bristol University by post-graduate students from New Zealand.
The offer is being referred by the Minister of Education (the Hon. R. Masters), to-the New Zealand University Senate for their consideration.
