STUD RAMS AND EWES

Prices at Wairarapa Sale

By Telegraph—Press Association.

Masterton, January 14. Though about seventy per cent, of the catalogue was passed, prices realised at the Wairarapa sheepbreeders’ stud ram and ewe sale to-day, were well up to expectations. Bidding was not animated, and only top lines of well-conditioned animals were sought after.

Top price was secured by Mr. Q. Donald for a Romney, purchased by R. W. Matthews (Featherston) for 110 gns. Mr. A. S. Murray (Mosgiel) paid 100 gns. for a Romney sold by Mr. W. Perry. The sheep were nil in fairly good condition, and the average price realised was 37 gns.
