Heavy Mortality in Papua
Cairns, December 12.
Passengers by the Montoro stated that a French missionary and nursing sister attached to the Yule Island Mission, and between 300 and 400 natives, died at the result of a severe influenza epidemic on the mainland of Papua, near Yule Island.
