DOCTOR’S 7000 BABIES
Dr. John Henry Salter, of Toileshunt Darcy, Essex. Deputy-Lieutenant for the county and chairman of Witham magistrates, who was 90 on July 14. claims to be the oldest practising medical officer in England. He has been the family doctor of every house in the parish for )55 years. The doctor’s proudest boast is that he has brought well over 7000 babies into the world. Some of those babies are now grandmothers whose ailments he still looks after,
