BISHOP DISAPPROVES
Birth Control and Divorce CANADIANS HEAR APPEAL : « Vancouver, September 2. At Regina, Saskatchewan, placing his seal of disapproval on birth control and counselling Canadians to observe chasity before marriage, and hold fast to the sanctity of wedlock, the Rt. Hon and Rt. Rev. Dr. Winnington-Ingram. Bishop of London, on Wednesday briefly addressed the Regina Women’s Canadian and Men’s Canadian Club. He spoke of the evils of companionate marriage, and referred to the large families of his relations. He suggested that the Canadian Government should erect a monument to the Ingrams for their part in increasing the population of Canada. The Bishop did not think youth was galloping toward damnation. He said that the so-called necking parties made him a little anxious. He feared for youth If young people vulgarised youthful relations. ,
