Now Control Chilean Navy MORE PAY DEMANDED Drastic Government Threat AEROPLANES v. WARSHIPS By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright (Rec, September 3, 7.30 p.m.) Santiago, September 2. Mutinous sailors, headed by a few officers—the others being imprisoned —are in complete control of the Chilean navy, which is riding at anchor in Coquimbo harbour ready to steam out to sea if the Government does not meet the men’s demands. The mutineers have tbeir headquarters in the battleship Almirante le Latorre. They ask for an Increased pay schedule, and the return of exPresident Ibanez for trial; also a levy upon wealthy citizens for the balancing of the Budget and the seizure of large estates, etc. The Government has given the mutineers until four o'clock to-morrow morning to surrender, after which they will send aeroplanes to attack the ships. The members of the Cabinet of Acting-President Trucco in the meantime verbally presented their resignations. Cabinet formally resigned on Wednesday night. A special session of Congress has been called for Thursday to decide on the declaration of a state of, siege asked for by Vice-President Trucco.
