TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST.
Meteorological Office, Wellington, Thursday, September 8, 1931, 4 p.m. There has been little change In pressure distribution since yesterday. A shallow cyclone Is still located off the West Coast of the South Island and a slight anti-cyclone east of Tasmania. Moderate to fresh west to south-west winds north of New Plymouth and Napier; elsewhere variable, but southerlies prevailing south of Greymouth and Akaroa and soon extending northward. Seas generally moderate In New Zealand waters. Moderate southerly winds in the eastern Tasman Sea and moderate seas. Weather dull and misty at times with further scattered rain In most districts; snow on some of the high country of the South Island.
