Picture Canvasser Punished Convicted on a charge of stealing two pictures, valued at 15/-, Charles Hamilton Romer, labourer, aged 42, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment by Mr. E. Page, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. Sub-Inspector Ward said that accused had called on a Mr. D. C. Russ and secured a job as canvasser for orders for his pictures.
