CONFESSED TO THEFT
Youth Goes to Police NO COMPLAINTS MADE By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch. September 3. An extraordinary story was told in the Magistrate's Court to-da.v before Mr. E. I). Mosley, S.M.. when a youth was charged with the theft of moneys belonging to an insurance firm where he was employed, and the sports club of which he was secretary. The police said that the vouth bad come to the police station and made a voluntary statement confessing the thefts, but the other parties denied that any money was missing, and no complaints had been received. The vouth was a I decent young fellow, but evidently there was a weakness. The case was adjourned to enable the magistrate to interview the vouth.
