Thompson, of the Ohingaiti Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club, won the trophy presented by Mr. F. Dear. To celebrate the winning of the senior Itugbv Cup at "Wanganui this year, the Technical College Old Boys football team intends holding a cabaret dance on Saturday. September 12. Mr. Raynor "White gave an interesting talk on "Music” to members of the Lady Jellicoe Club musical circle recently. Mrs. Abernethy and Mis,s E. Newton played several selections to illustrate his points. Mr. and Mrs. Robert McKuight. Palmerston North, are the guests of Mrs. John Ballance. Wicksteed Street. Wanganui. Au enjoyable time was spent at a dance held in the Lansdowne School, Masterton, on Wednesday evening. The Arcadians Orchestra supplied the music, and extras were contributed by Miss 13. Cameron and Mr. J. Scott. The arrangements for the supper were carried out by a committee of women.
