Women’s Hockey Tourney DEFEATS ROTORUA , By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, September 3. The Dominion women’s hockey tournament was continued to-day. Results are as follow:— A Section. —Eastern Southland 5, Southland 1; Manawatn 3, Auckland Country 2; Wairarapa 4, Akitio 0. B Section.—Wellington 1. Rotorua 0; Wanganui 1, Poverty Bay 0; Auckland City 3, Ruahine 2. The positions of the teams to date are as follow: — A Section.—Eastern Southland 8, Manawatu 7, Auckland Country 6. Southland 4, Wairarapa 3. Akitio 2. B Section.—Wellington 9, Poverty Bay 6. Rotorua 6. Wanganui 4, Ruahine 3, Auckland City 2. •HARD-FOUGHT GAME Miss Foreman’s Goal Dominion Special Service. Auckland, September 3. . After a hard-fought game. the Wellington hockey team defeated Rotorua by 1 goal to nil. There was no score at half-time, and Miss Foreman netted beautifully from a corner in the second spell. Wellington will now play Eastern Southland in the final on Saturday.
