Three new members who were elected brought the total number of active riding members to 55, of which 18 were juniors. The treasurer, Mr. D. Evans, reported fully on the financial position of the club, and showed how It had recovered well from a recent loss of some £3O. Annual subscriptions 1 had not come to hand as well as had been expected, Mr. Evans said, but this was 'attributable to the hard times and to the fact that a number of riders were out of employment. The date set down for the provincial championship was September 19. No entries, it was decided, would be accepted after the closing date, September 12. Arrangements were reported to be well iu hand for the club’s annual Palmerston North-Wellington road race, the club having already met with some generous support in connection with trophies. The junior club championship will be decided on Saturday next, over a single lap of the Breaker Bay cutting route, which measures approximately 134 miles. There will be a senior race over the same distance.
