The steamer Callandia, which has made two visits to Wellington during the last two years, has been sold to Japanese shipbreakers for about £9OOO. The Callandia Is a cargo steamer of 6485 tons gross register, built in 1901. The St. Albans, 4119 tons gross register, built in 1910, has been sold by the Eastern'and Australian Steamship Company Ltd. to Japanese shlpbreakers for £7200. TAINUI SAILS. Having completed her homeward loading, the Shaw, Savlll liner Tainul left Auckland yesterday evening for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal.

THE FLOATING DOCK I Electric Crane Equipment Th® jubilee floating dock, which is sowon Its way to Wellington, has been supplied by Clarke, Chapman, and Co., Gateshead, with a flve-ton electric travelling portal crane, which possesses several feature! of Interest. It Is designed to deal with loads of two tons at a radius of 54ft. and five tons at 27ft. The total lift of the hook at the former radius is 90tt. The jib Is straight and of the open lattice type, being 60tt. long. The crane Is of the central revolving mast type, which gives great ease in the revolving motion, with reduced roller loads and minimum stresses. Special rail clips are provided to ensure absolute stability when travelling. MAKURA LEAVES ’FRISCO. The Union liner Makura left San Francisco yesterday op her voyage to Sydney, via ports. She is due to leave Papeete on September 12, Rarotonga September 15, Wellington September 22, and is due to arrive at Sydney on September 26. MONOWAI FROM SYDNEY. The local agent of the Osaka Shosen Kalsha Line, Mr. W. Wallis, advises that the motor-ship Melbourne Maru is due at Wellington on Sunday afternoon from Japan, via Australian ports. She will leave on the following day for Auckland. TONGARIRO REPORTS. Leaving Liverpool on July 26, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s Tongariro has radioed that she expects to arrive at Auckland at 8 a.m. to-day. RANGITANE COMPLETING. To complete her homeward loading at Auckland, the New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-liner Rangitane left Wellington yesterday afternoon. She is scheduled to sail finally from Auckland for Southampton and London via Panama on September 12 at daybreak. k REMUERA DUE AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s Remuera, bound from Southampton, is still expected to arrive at Auckland on Saturday afternoon. WAIMARINO’S ITINERARY. She Is expected to sail from there to-morrow for Wellington, where she is due on Monday, and will proceed to Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. TEES LEAVES THE CHATHAMS. After having been delayed -by bad weather, the steamer Tees left the Chatham Islands at seven o’clock on Tuesday evening for Wellington, and is due here this evening. HAURAKI AGAIN REPORTS. En route from Los Angeles, the motorship Haurakl has reported by wireless that she now expects to arrive at Auckland at 9 a.m. to-day. She is due at Wellington on Monday. ' CORINTHIC LEAVES BALBOA. The Corlnthlc. en route from Southampton for New Zealand ports, sailed from Balboa on Monday afternoon, and is due at Wellington on September 22. MAIMOA AT NEW PLYMOUTH. Now loading at New Plymouth, the Shaw, Savlll liner Maimoa expects to get away from there to-morrow for Port Chalmers. She will then proceed to Wellington, being due here on September 11, sailing finally on September 15 for London, via Montevideo. HERMINIUS LOADING. The Shaw, Savlll liner Herminius, now loading at New Plymouth, expects to clear that port to-morrow for Lyttelton. She will later proceed to Timaru and Wellington, sailing finally from here on September 21 for London, via Panama. THE AUSTRALIND. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the Australlnd sailed from New York on August 23 and Newport News on August 25 for Galveston, Texas, to load a quantity of sulphur. From Galveston she will proceed to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia. THE SONOMA. The Matson Line steamer Sonoma is scheduled to leave San Francisco to-day and Los Angeles to-morrow for Auckland and Sydney, via Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva. She is due at Auckland on September 25. SIERRA CLEARED SUVA. The Matson Line steamer Sierra arrived at Suva from San Francisco and Los Angeles, via Honolulu and Pago Pago, on Monday morning' and sailed in the afternoon for Auckland. The vessel is due at Auckland at seven o’clock to-morrow morning, and she is to be dispatched for Sydney at five o’clock the same evening. THE KAREPO. The Union Company advises that the Karepo will leave Greymouth to-day for Sydney and Newcastle, thence to Adelaide, Edithburg and Melbourne to load for New Plymouth, Auckland. Wellington, Castlecliff and Lyttelton. She is to load at Adelaide about September 23. PAKURA RESUMING. The Richardson Company's steamer Pakura, which is undergoing her annual overhaul and survey at Wellington, is to resume her running next week. She win leave Wellington next Tuesday for Napier and Gisborne. ATHELQUEEN FROM SAN PEDRO. The motor-tanker Athelqueen, under charter to the Union Company, arrived at Wellington yesterday afternoon from San Pedro, and berthed at Miramar Wharf. She has a cargo of fuel-oil to discharge. GOLDEN CROSS IN PORT. To continue discharge of her Pacific Coast cargo, the O. & O. Line steamer Golden Cross is due at Wellington this morning from Auckland, and will berth at Taranaki Street Wharf.
