The dotted line marks the route taken by the university students when ascending the mountain. and the black dot. the point where they turned off when caught in the blizzard. Messrs. Bell, MacDiarmid and Flynn. and Misses M. and G. Watkins and Ellett were found at "B,” and Mr. Spooner at “D.” Mr. Addis was found at “C.” “E” marks the spot where Misses Rennie and Brockett and Mr. Harris were discovered, Mr. Graham and Miss Morris being found at "F.” The distance from The Chateau to the railway is about twelve miles. Thus it can be seen that no great distance separated any of the parties.
