Scholarships Under Way LAST NIGHTS RESULTS One scholarship was decided, and the first sections of three others heard yesterday at the continuation of the Wellington Competitions Society’s festival. With 232 points, Miss Nola Hyde, Brooklyn, was adjudged winner of the society's scholarship for recitation under 16. In the evening the usual well-varied programme of dancing, instrumental, elocutionary and vocal items was given, two dainty ballets, “Elves and Fairies,” and “On Parade,” by the pupils of Miss Hazel Martin and Miss Creswell Vaughan’s schools respectively providing a happy diversion. In addition, three further competitors, Misses Kathleen Bartose, Lower Hutt, Mavis Windson, Wellington, and Edna Purdie, Kelburn,. were heard in the Champion of Champions class.
