ENJOYABLE CONCERT
British Sailors’ Society An enjoyable concert was held on Thursday evening at the rooms of the British Sailors’ Society for the entertainment of men from ships in port. A dance by Mr. O’Connor and some Maori stories bv Mr. Patterson were especially popular. Other performers were: Mesdames Robson and Miller,. Misses Kelly, Oates, O’Connor, nnd Morley, nnd Messrs. Robson, Williams, Liardct, East, and Whitehorn. Madame Dempster being the accompanist for the evening. After supper had been served at the conclusion of the concert, a hearty vote of thanks was passed nnd carried with [acclamation to Mrs. Patterson, who had arranged the’programme.
