The Gonville Tennis Club, Wangantji, held the last of a series of dances on Saturday night in the Elrick Rooms, when there was an excellent attendance of dancers. „ Mesdames C. Whetton and Halligan, Wanganui, were hostesses on Saturday afternoon at a party for the Arainoho Plunket baby. Competitions were won by Mrs. Wilson and Miss Stone, and Mrs. Whetton.

Mesdames G. Carver, D'Arcy. MiSses C. Lewis, N. Russell, B. Wilson, and (Newton acted as mannequins at the D. fashion display in Wanganui for three days last week. The proceeds were given to the mayor's relief fund. To farewell bliss Kathleen King, of Wanganui East, the teachers of St. James' Presbyterian Sunday School naid her a surprise visit on Saturday, and presented her with a Bible. Miss King had been a Sunday school teacher for some time at St. Janies'. Miss G. Collinge has returned to Masterton from a holiday’ at Wellington. Mrs. J. H. Peterson and family, of Palmerston North, are spending a holiday at Mauriceville, Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. J. McLeary have left Masterton for Napier, where they will reside in the future. ;
