REMUERA REPORTS .Due Auckland p.m. Saturday The New Zealand Shipping Company has received a wireless message from its liner Remuera, on route from London and Southampton, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland p.m. on Saturday. She will later proceed to Wellington to complete discharge and is due here on September 12. TIRI AT AUCKLAND. Tbe new motor vessel Tiri arrived at Auckland yesterday morning from Norfolk Island. THE KARAMEA. The Shaw. Savill Company advises that its motor-ship Karamea Is to complete discharge of her London cargo at Tiinaru today. She is to leave there to-day for Gladstone and will load homewards In Australia. - TONGARIRO REPORTS. The Federal Company has received a wireless message from the Tongarlro, en route from Liverpool, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland at 7 a.m. on Thursday. She brings cargo from Glasgow and liverpool for discharge at Auckland, Napiar, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and Is due here on September 11. TARANAKI LEAVES LONDON. The Shaw, Savill Company has received cabled advice that its motor-ship Taranaki left London last Friday for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, and Nelson. She Is due at Lyttelton on September 30. RANGITANE DELAYED. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that its motor-liner Rangltane' will now leave Wellington to-morrow tor Auckland to complete her homeward loading. She Is scheduled to clear the northern port finally on September 12 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. THE KALINGO. v The Union Company advises that the Kallngo is to leave Melbourne to-morrow for Newcastle to load for Miramar and Wellington. UDIMAROA DUE AT 7 A.M. TO-DAY. En route from Sydney to Wellington, the Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive In the stream at 7 o’clock this morning. She will berth about 9 o’clock at No. 1 south Queen’s Wharf. The Ulimaroa is to leave here again on Friday on the return trip to Sydney. MERCHANT SERVICE GUILD. The general montlhly meeting of the Wellington Merchant Service Guild will be held this morning at 10 o’clock. TAINUTS PASSENGERS. The Shaw, Savill liner Tainul, which Is scheduled to leave Auckland to-morrow afternoon for Southampton' and London, via the Panama Canal, will take the following cabin class passengers:—Mr. J. B. Firth, Mr. G. c. Longstaff, Mr. and Mrs. G- Robinson, Miss E. Scott, Mr. M. M. Smith, Miss Cocksedge, and 35 third class. GOLDEN CROSS LEAVES AUCKLAND. The O. and O. Line steamer Golden Cross left Auckland yesterday for Wellington to continue discharge of her Pacific Coast cargo, and Is due here on Thursday morning. She will later proceed to Lyttelton, Tlmaru, Dunedin, and Australia to complete discharge. Burns, Philp, and Co. are the local agents. TOFUA AT AUCKLAND. The Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua arrived at Auckland at noon yesterday from Suva. She will leave there again next Monday for Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa. SIERRA LEAVES SUVA. The Matson Line steamer Sierra, en route from San Francisco, left Suva yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Friday morning. She will leave there again the same day for Sydney. HAURAKI REPORTS. Canadian National Steamships have received cabled advice that the Canadian Cruiser, from New Zealand and Australia, via New York and Boston, reached Montreal last Thursday. NARBADA REPORTS. The Union Company has received a wireless message from 1 the Narbada, en route from Calcutta, via Penang, Singapore, and Samarang, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland on Friday morning. She will later proceed to Wellington, Lyttelton, Tlmaru, Dunedin, and Bluff to complete discharge, and is due here on September 10. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Captain A. T. Toten Is taking command of the R.M.S. Monowai at Sydney to-day, relieving- Captain T. B. Sewell, who Is taking command of the Maunganul. Mr. A. Russell, chief officer of the Monowai, Is joining the Maunganul In a similar capacity, and Mr. T. W. White has been appointed chief officer of the Monowal. Captain R. Huntly ds taking command of tho Kakarikl at Melbourne this week,, relieving Captain E. J. C. Gibson for holidays. Mr. N. H. Pearson Is joining the Tofua as second officer, relieving Mr. J. W. Captain J. E. Hancox Is now master of the Fairburn. EXAMINATION RESULTS. The following were successful in the examinations conducted during August by the Marine Department:— Mr. C. V.- Holder had 'his certificate endorsed as a first-class motor engineer. Mr. L. M. Dluurloo gained his first-class engineer's certificate (steam). Mr. E. M. Rutherford gained a third-class steam engineer’s certificate. Mr. N. C. Melibye gained a river engineer’s certificate (steam). Oil engineer’s certificates were gained by the following:—Messrs. R. H. King and L. V Weir, first class; J. L. Richards, second class; E. S. S. Scott, W. S. Crozier, A. W. Miller, and J. H. Hanson, restricted limits. Mr. L. E.
