DECREE NISI GRANTED
Husband’s Petition Succeeds An undefended divorce case came before the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, in the Supreme Court yesterday, when a decree nisi was granted the husband, who was the pctitioher, with interim custody of the three children, his Honour intimating that it would be in the interests of the child,, a daughter of ten years still W’ith her mother, that the girl should not remain where she was. The petitioner wns Arthur Edward Carver, land agent, Wellington (Mr. Hanna), the respondent Patience Gait Carver, and co-respondent Leonard Felton. Petitioner said there were three children of the marriage. Respondent left him in February, 1930, and went to Sydney. leaving a letter with her lawyer for him He later went over and found where she was staving with the co-respondent. In Sydney respondent wns going under the name of Mrs. Felton. Frederick Charles Fraser gave evidence as to visiting a farm at Helensville, where he saw respondent and co-respondent after their return from Sydney. Felton introduced the woman as his wife. A decree nisi, with custody of the children, was granted, the question of costs to be dealt with when the decree is made absolute. i
