Mrs. E. Hurcomb, Wellington, is paying a visit to Auckland. Mrs. D. Tennant (Greymouth) is visiting her sister, Mrs. W. Austin (Kelburn). 'Miss Smith and Miss Helen Smith, Wellington, are on a visit to Auckland. •Miss B. Saunders, who arrived at Wellington on Saturday from Christchurch, is staying at the Midland Hotel.
Miss Marjorie Dempster, of Kelburn, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. J. B. Grave, Stour Street, Oamaru. Miss L. M. Mitchell, of 10 Maarama Crescent, has left by the Wahiue to spend a holiday at Christchurch. All's. W. Murie, Seatoun. is visiting her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Allan, Iliccarton, Christchurch.
Mr. and Sirs. Denis Muir, Wellington, who have been the guests of Mrs. George Webster, Tiniaru, have returned home. Mrs. Bromley Hill, of Napier, is on a visit to Wellington, and is the guest of Mrs. W. E. Jackson, Brougham Street. Miss Joan Selby, Wellington, and Miss Enid Mackintosh, Wanganui, are visiting the Chateau, Tongariro, for the winter sports.
Mrs, D. C. 11. Florance, wife of Professor Florence, Kelburn, Wellington, who has been staying at Raumati with her children, has returned home. Lady Allan arrived from the south yesterday. She was accompanied by her son, and they are staying at the Midland Hotel. Word has been received by Mrs. James Robertson, of '‘Barmoor,” North Otago, that her daughter, Sister Dorothy Robertson, who is en route from China on furlough, will leave Sydney by the Monowai ou September 3 for' Wellington. Mf. and Mrs. V. J. Redfern, Devonport, Auckland, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. Lange, Avonside, have left for Wellington, where they will stay for a week with Mr. and Mrs. George Woods, Brougham Street, before returning home.
