Rongotai College Tourney The annual boxing tournament of Rongotat College;, was held at.tlie college -on .Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday of last week. Shield points were awarded as follow: 1 point for taking part in the tournament. 1 point for winning a bout, and 2 points for winning a final. The issue was iu doubt until the last bout. The Greeks, under Guthrie, were winners with 39 points; the Romans,,under Leeks, were second with 38 points; nnd the Trojans, under Kear I, third with 37 points.

Of the 70 boots fought, Mr. F. MartynRenner decided the preliminaries and semifinals, and Mr. Hull, of the Wellington Boxing Association, judged the finals. Broomfield was adjudged the best boxer, but Coveney, the most promising of the youngsters,; was awarded the. Boxing Association’s medal. ■ Following are the results:— , . 1001 b.. At the conclusion, Mr. Renner returned thanks to the Boxing Association for Its many kindnesses, and to all those who had assisted in making the tournament a success.
