The National Day-line Exposed. The League of Nations Assemble at GENEVA at the present time to consider the STABILITY, or the REFORMATION of the Creator’s CALENDAR, as given to us in the Holy WRIT. Pastor* Longacr* and Christian, Dr. Hertz, Chief Rabbi, British Empire, Dr. Moses Hyamson, Rabbi of the United States, Dr. Levi, Grand Rabbi of France, Messrs. Eastman, Cotsworth and Co. Pastor Maxwell sets forth “Th* BLANK DAY." It may be called “Year Day,”. or "Leap Day.” But the intention is to make it BLANK, and erase it, so far as possible from the reckoning of time. Let us suppose that we have come to the night of Saturday, December 31, 1933. And that the New Calendar is in vogue. The week has ended. The next morning,' Calendar of' No Calendar, the rising Sun heralds the FIRST day of a New Week. The Conscientious Sundaykeeper awakes with every intention to observe it as of Old. But he is informed that it is not Sunday, but a BLANKday, a National Holiday, decreed so by Parliament. He will have to choose between two conflicting LOYALTIES—Between God and the National Government. Identically the same Problem will confront the Seventh Day Adventist and all others who keep the Sabbath of the Holy Bible. During 1934, their* Sabbath would fall upon “Friday"’ during 1935, upon "Thursday,” during 1936, being leap . year upon Wednesday, and “Tuesday” . . .in other words. Their Snbbath would wander through the week for all time, What would this body have them do? Either they would have them true to conscience and endure the consequent hardship, dr they would needs SMOTHER their conscience in order to gain their daily bread.” It is Very cheering to know how the Editor Maxwell, the S.D.A. will sustain the MEMORIAL of CREATION in this case. Now why should he not, and the whole of the S.D.A. .people do the same with the CREATION SABBATH in New Zealand, Australia, India, China, and Japan? The BLANK DAY according to the proposed New Calendar is to be ONCE a YEAR. But in this Southern Hemisphere we have a LOST DAY every week, and throws out the Sabbath for all time. On the 23rd day of December, 1923, the Writer set sail for Pitcairn Island. It was the so-called Saturday Afternoon by the Almanac which the S.D.A. _ try to keep. We went to bed that night, and upon rising in the morning the steward told us it was Saturday again. That Sunday has been lost through the night. We had a Member of the S.D.A. with us who had tried to keep the Sabbath on shore. We told her now here, we have another Sabbath: will you keep it also? NO ANSWER. About the same time Pastor Robert Hare went to Pitcairn and had the same experience. He accepted the genuine Bible Sabbath at Pitcairn and said he threw away the Artificial Sabbath which he had in New Zealand. According to Gen. 8:22 and Deut. 4:2. There must be no adding, or dropping of th- Day that we may keep the Sabbath as commanded. The Bible Genuine Sabbath Day in New Zealand is from Sunset Saturday to Sunset. Sunday, to be kept in Memory of Creation. . ” The Government has removed the beginning of the ,days of the week from Eden to the Pacific Ocean: and that has caused the 7th day to be known as the FIRST day of another week. Ask any one upon the day, that you know to be the Bible Sabbath day; what day that day is; the reply will be-SUNDAY, the first dav of the week. Then the Almanac first day. is the Bible 7th day Sabbath. So the Almanac 7th day will be the Bible 6th day Friday which is taught, and has been taught for the Holy Snbbmf >' Day. I What a TERRIBLE RESPONSIBILITY rests upon the many Ministers who teach the observance of the 6th day of the Bible week for the Sabbath instead of the consecrated seventh day which remains for all generations Nations. Ps. 135:13. We are to obey the Creator’s command, and not the Church, or the KING’S Command when they are contrary. The BLANK Snbbath comes every week as Sunday the FIRST DAY, in New Zealand.
