EXCEEDING THE MEAL LIMIT
A Montreal restaurant proprietor who advertises “All you can oat for sixty cents” (2/6) had a shock when a man about six feet tall and weighing 18 stones settled himself down at a table. Feeling a “hunch” that the man was going to get his money’s worth, the manager kept an account of what .his customer ate, while the rekt of the staff looked on.
Official records were given as follows :— Four fruit cocktails, eight veal cutlets, with potatoes, eight iced teas, five orders of French fried (chip potatoes), five orders of ham and potatoes, two orders of roast beef, and two tomato salads. In addition the giant customer ate six ice creams, making a total of 40 courses In all.
