Sirs. Ansen, of Feilding, is the guest of Mrs. D. Wilson, of Wanganui. Mr. and Sirs. H. Ware, of-Palmerston North, are visiting Napier. Mrs. T. Quirke is seriously indisposed and has had to enter hospital for treatment. - ■ < Miss E. Todd has returned to Masterton after a holiday at Taihape. Miss Patricia Jordan, of Masterton, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. V. E. Donald, Masterton, is spending a holiday at Castlepoint. Mrs. E.'G. Eton, Cornwall Street, Masterton, is a visitor to Wellington. Miss M. Bell, of Blenheim, is staying with her parents in Masterton for the school vacation. Miss Kathleen Robinson, of the Masterton Hospital staff, is visiting her home, "Ngarara,” Martinborough. A pleasant time was spent at the residence of Mrs. J. G. McKenzie, Feather--ston, on Wednesday, when the Featherston Croquet Club held a euchre evening. During the evening nine tables were occupied by players. The prize for the women’s section was won by Mrs. G. Walker after drawing with Mrs. C. Edwards, who was equal with her. Mr. J. Anderson was the winner of the men’s section. Consolation prizes were won by Miss Chisholm and Mr. Bain.
