BOXING TOURNAMENT
Pahiatua Association Masterton, August 28. The Pahiatua Boxing Association held Its second tournament last night, boxers from Palmerston North, Masferton, Fellding, and the Bush district competing. Mr. A. J. Havlll was the referee and Mr. G. O. C. Oxley the timekeeper. The following are the results of the bouts: —Maurice Kershaw (Pahiatua), 5.10, lost to Noel Christensen (Fellding), 5.11; Jim Hesketh (Fellding) beat C. Bellshaw (Pahiatua); Norman Rouse (Pahiatua), 9.13, beat Mack Toye (Fellding), 10.10; T. Carroll (Masterton), -, 10.0, beat F. Miller (Palmerston), 9.12; R. Harman (Masterton), 10.4, beat D. Harrison (Pahiatua), 10.9; J. Davies (Pahiatua), 10.2, beat B. Houghton (Palmerston), 9.12; J. Ford (Masterton), 11.0, defeated H. Reeves (Pahiatua), 11.9; T. Holden (Palmerston), 9.0, defeated T. Newlands (Masterton), 9.6; T. Oxley (Pahiatua). 9.6, defeated G. Wylie (Master, ton), 9.9; F. Hopkins (Palmerston), 9.5, defeated B. High (Pahiatua), 9.5.
