COUPON TRADING
Retailers Seek Safeguards Ameeting of tobacconists, grocers and parties interested in the Coupon Trading Bill is to be held at the be ginning of next week. The convener of the meeting, stated last evening that it was- not intended to oppose the measure, but it was thought advisable to seek certain amendments. Be explained that the portion of the Bill dealing with the redemption of coupons for cash was too indefinite for retailers. , It might be possible for wholesalers or manufacturers to issue coupons and cast the onus of redemption on retailers. This position would be most unsatisfactory to shopkeepers. Further details of the objects of the meeting are advertised in this issue.
