ESPERANTO CLUB
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club took place last Tuesday night in the Y.M.C.A., Mr. E, C. Jack presldlrig. Allusion was made to the progress Esperanto was achieving in educational circles, where the ■ language was being taught in many schools In different parts of the world. The " first portion of the evening ,was devoted to tuition, the members dividing Into small study circles under the guidance of experienced speakers.. The second pant of the programme was opened by Miss Coralle Smythson, who read an article from an Esperanto publication published on the Continent. The subject matter was particularly Interesting, as the title was “La Progreso de Esperanto en NovZelando.” Mr. L. E. Dust followed with an address in Esperanto on “Interesa Arkiologla Espiorado en Pompeii.” Mr. W. T. Brown contributed a reading in Esperanto on "La Knabo parolas pri la Horn!” The concluding Item was an original Esperanto comedy entitled "Tro Avld.il” the roles being presented by Miss Coralle Smythson and the club secretary, Mr. Bertram Potts.
