Infant Mistress Farewelled A large number of children and parents and members of the Wilford School staff assembled in the school social room to bid farewell to Miss B. McCarrison, infap.t mistress, who is leaving to take up the position of.infant mistress at Brooklyn SchooL The chairman,. Mr. V. A. Noble, presented Miss McCarrison with a lady’s handbag and crystal vase. He expressed regret on behalf of all present that she was leaving the school. Mr. J 3. Marryatt, headmaster, congratulated Miss McCarrison on behalf of the staff on her promotion. He stated that a great deal of the school basketball team’s winning the intermediate championship was due to her efforts. Miss McCarrison was also presented by June Noble with a bouquet worked in. the school colours —maroon and gold. During the evening items were given by Shirley Bentley. Kathleen Caldwell, Philip Page, Gladys Broughton, Peggy Caldwell, Heather Elgle, Ruth Tarkington. Violet Toomer. Mrs, H. Morgan. Eddie Hughes. Myola Halliday, Joan O'Hearn, Clarence Neilson, Ruby Gillen, Winnie Page, Miss Burnley. . . .
