BASKETBALL TOURNEY
Wairarapa v. Manawatu ; Mnstorton, July 6. The executive of the Wairarapa Basketball Association has decided to hold a six-a-side tournament for senior and secondary A teams on Saturday, July 18. Senior and secondary teams will be selected by Misses O. R. Sutherland, Fleming and G. G. Matthews at this tournament to play a trial game tn order to select the Wairarapa representative team. The tournament will be held on the Masterton Central School grounds, if available, and secondary games will commence at 10 a.m. and senior at 2 p.m. The Manawatu association’s invitation to play a representative match at Palmerston North early in August has been accepted and an invitation is being extended to the Wellington association to send a B grade team to Masterton next month. .
