CHESS COMPETITIONS
■ An interesting .match in tho B crado ; teams tourney of the Wellington Chess League was played in the Hutt Valiev Chess Clubs room on ‘Monday evening when the local club, who won this competition last year, scored a meritorious win from the Ngaio club’s representatives. A cordial welcome was extended by Mr. G. L. Giesen (vice-president), Mr. J, S. Harrison responding happily on behalf of the visitors. The scores wore as follow:— Hutt Valley. Ngaio. Ottaway. J.
