WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

The June meeting of the Pahiatua Women's Institute was attended by over 90 members, the president, Mrs. Paterson, being i the chair. All present sang “The Ode to Friendship,’’ and after the business hud been dealt with and afternoon tea dispensed, Mrs. Paterson introduced Mrs. Billman, of Foilding, who gave a very interesting demonstration on paper flower making and instruction to a large number of members, who were able to take home delightful posies of hydrangea head which they had made during the course of the demonstration. A musical item was rendered by a member and the usual votes of thanks were accorded Mrs. Bilhnnn and the hostesses. The meeting closed with the National Anthem.
