POLICE REINFORCEMENTS (Roe. Muy 20, 8 p.m.) Calcutta. Muy 20. The Ilurnin Government nnnonnces measures Io prevent the spread of rebellion. ineluding the occupation of important areas by troops. It is raising five more companies of military police: also it has decided on the postponement of outstanding agricultural loans and other means to relievo the economic situation which is one of the causes of the revolt. A further contingent of Indian soldiers left Calcutta for Burma yesterday.
