The driver of a passenger vehicle is charged in the fees as a passenger. All taxis plying for hire that (with the tare weight and number of passengers which the vehicle is licensed to carry) exceed two (2) tons fall within the above scale of charges. Heavy Traffic Fees pay--able on motor-lorries affect all owners of such vehicles in the area comprising Wellington City, Boroughs of Petone, Upper Hutt. Lower Hutt, and Eastbourne, the Town District of Johnsonville, the Hutt and Makara Counties. Motor Drivers’ Licenses: Renewal of Motor Drivers’ Licenses will be dealt with in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, on and after May 31, 1931.
