SKID IN LOOSE METAL

Pillion-rider Injured

While riding on the main road near Pabiiutaii'ii between nine and ten o'clock last evening. 'Arthur Craig, a motorcyclist, skidded in some loose metal, with the result that his pillion-rider, Miss M. Curran, of 5 Wnipapa Road, liataitai, received injuries to her left leg and abrasions to her face.

Dr. Aitken, of Johnsonville, happened to .be in the vicinity, and was able to take Miss Curran in his car as far as Johnsonville, where he was met by the Free Ambulance. Miss Curran was admitted to the hospital at 10.45 p.m. The driver of the cycle was not injured.
