Yesterday’s Weather
It was a fine day in Wellington yesterday with a light wind from the south. The sky clouded over toward evening and light rain fell. Steady rain at Auckland yesterday morning was followed by a dull and showery afternoon. The barometer fell during the day from 29.95 in. to 29.80 in., at which it remained steady last evening. The weather at Christchurch was dull in the morning but fine and sunny in the afternoon. The wind was light from the north-east and the maximum temperature was 51 degrees. The barometer, after falling slowly all day, took a turn upward last evening and registered 30.20. The weather was cloudy, fine and cold at Dunedin yesterday with a light breeze from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 55 degrees. The barometer was steady and registered 30.10iu.
