Twenty-first Anniversary
LORD BLEDISLOE’S MESSAGE

Auckland, May 7.
The following message was sent to his Majesty the King by the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, on the occasion of the twenty-first anniversary of his Majesty’s accession to the Throne: “On behalf of your Majesty’s most loyal subjects in New Zealand we humbly tender our affectionate and respectful congratulations on the twenty-first anniversary of the commencement of your Majesty’s beneficent reign.” His Majesty has replied as follows: “It is with a feeling of warm gratitude that I have received the loyal and affectionate congratulations which you have sent me from my people in New Zealand. Though it is many years since I visited the Dominion, its wellbeing and happiness are ever in my thoughts.” ‘
