A small but rather deep cyclone fa passing eastward, just to the north of New Zealand. A moderate anti-cyclone is moving on to the Sout Island. , South-east to southerly winds; still strong to gale force In places In and north of Cook Strait; elsewhere moderate to fresh. Seas rough north of Farewell Spit and Kalkoura; moderate thence southward. South to south-east winds In the eastern Tasman Sea: strong In the northern portion with rough seas; moderate In the southern portion with smooth to moderate seas. Weather fine In western districts of the South Island; elsewhere still changeable; rain north of Auckland and between Hawke s Bay and East 8 Cape with some heavy falls and scattered light sh °^ er3 else ’ where. Temperatures cold with some frosts in the South Island.
