ROUND THE WORLD

Plans of American Flyers

Oklahoma City, May 5.

Mr. F. C. Hall, the oil man, backer of the projected round-the-world flight of Wiley Post and Harold Gatty, said on Tuesday that the flyers had been refused permission to cross Russia. Mr. Hall said that Senators Gore and Thomas, of Oklahoma, and Borah, of Idaho, were negotiating to obtain permission. The machine, a high-wing monoplane, is being overhauled and fitted with special instruments at a California factory, ready for test flights on Saturday. The start and finish will be at New York.
