Motor-vessel Maui Pomare

The willingness of the Government to dispose of the motor vessel Maui Pomare. which is engaged in the islands trade, is intimated in a letter received by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce from the Prime Minister. “The Government would be prepared.to consider an offer from private enterprise to take over the Maui Pomare and to operate the present service with Niue and Samoa, subject, of course, to satisfactory guarantees being forthcoming that the service would be continued as it is at present being carried out;’ said Mr. Forbes.
