Goodwin—McCarthy The .wedding took place recently in -the Catholic Church, Lower Hutit, of Dulcie only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. McCarthy, to Edwin Staniforth, only son of Mr. E. Goodwin, Runanga. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore ivory georgette over silk, and a long, fitting bodice, with fully-flared skirt forming a train. Mittens were also worn. The embroidered tulle veil was simply arranged with onange blossoms, and was carried by a flower girl, Shirley Ploustons. The bride was attended by Mrs. B. McCarthy, matron of honour, and Bliss M. McHerron. They wore apricot georgette over silk, with long flared skirt, and large apricot felt hats, trimmed, and carried sheaths of golden and. orange dahlias and roses.

The bridegroom was attended by Mr. E. Wilson McComish as best man, and Mr. B. McCarthy as groomsman. The service was performed by Father Rohan, and Miss Connolly presided at the organ. A reception was afterwards held at Tua Rua Hall, When the bride’s mother received over 100 guests. She wore black georgette and laee, a large black hat, and carried a posy of red dahlias. Mrs. E. Wilson McComish, the bridegroom’s sister, wore green floral georgette, and carried a posy of orange zinnias. A. Hardie at the residence of the bride's parents, Daniell Street, Martinborough, on Friday, when Daisy, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. TV. Munn, was married to William, son of Mr. arid Mrs. 0. C. Feist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a wine-coloured costume with hat to match. The bridesmaid was Miss N. Campbell, who wore a brown costume and hat to match. The bridegroom was supported by his brother, Mr. E.'II. Feist. The bride’s mother wore a dress of floral rayon, while the bridegroom’s mother' wore navy repp with touches -of red. The bridal couple later left on a tour of the north. « » • Frame—Ward The wedding look place at St. Mary of the Angels, ’Wellington, on Wednesday, of Joan, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Ward, “Rungahiwi,” Martinborough, and George, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Frame, of Danncvirke. The Rev. Father Mahoney performed the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of orange shot taffeta, with a cape collar and the skirt cut in big flares and'reaching the ground. She wore a lemon felt hat trimmed with lemon and green ribbon, and carried a sheaf of dahlias and autumn leaves. She was attended by her sister, Miss Molly Ward, who was attired in a pink sprigged taffeta frock with a green felt hat, and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. Mr. C. McTarmnnd acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was, held at the Ritz, where over sixty guests; were entertained, and the usual toasts honoured. Mrs. Ward received the guests, and' wore a smart ensemble of brown with hat to match. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in black georgette. The bridal couple left, later for a motor tour in the north, the bride wearing a brown tweed costume and coat, and beretta to match. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a gold wrist watch, and to the bridesmaid a green necklace and earrings.
