Growing Popularity It is stated from au authoritative source that the success of British films during recent months has been outstanding, and that both the companies whicli distribute these films have received a very fair measure pf support from exhibitors. An examiua'tion of inspectors of the record books kept by exhibitors under the Cinematograph Films Act shows that most theatres have screened considerably more British film than,is required under the Act, This, it is pointed is particularly noticeable in thp cities and larger (owns, where the theatres have screened practically the whole output of one or other of the British renting companies.
