Unemployed Women
Sir,—Will you permit me, through your columns, to call the' attention of your women readers to an attempt being made to help women who need work. The Society for the Protection of Women and Children is opening a register for unemployed women, at their office. 156 Willis Street, on Tuesday, April 28. The office will be open from Mondays to Fridays inclusive from 10 to 12 a.m.. and from 2to 4 p.m. Girls have already sought our aid, and others are invited to do so. ' „ We appeal to all women who can offer a home and a small wage for help given, to ring up our society, telephone 28 —200, and we will do our best to send, the help needed. Girls are homeless; we urge women, jn obedience to the golden rule, to help such. Those who cannot give homes ■nay be able to give work by the day or the hour. Will such communicate with us. and so help us to bring together those who need help and those willing to give such help.—l am, etc.. ' NELLIE PE RYMAN.
