NO SIGN OF BODIES
Breaker Bay Tragedy Although searches were made yesterday by the police and others, no trace was found of the bodies of George AA’illiams, John Petifer and Robert McCardell (Parker), who lost their lives in the drowning accident, which occurred near a reef opposite Breaker Bay on Sunday afternoon. In connection with the tragedy, it was learned yesterday that if Mr. R. Semple, M.P., had not been indisposed, he, too, would probably have been a member of the fishing excursion. Arrangement had been made for Mr. Semple to accompany the party on the next trip to Fitzroy Bay, but on Saturday evening Mr. Semple communicated with Mr. McPherson, the survivor, and said that much as he would like to make the trip, he would be unable to do so on account of an injury to his leg.
