CAR ABANDONED
Badly Damaged Condition — L'-' Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, April 27. Early on Saturday morning a badly damaged motor-car was discovered at the junction of the Tiritea and Riverbank roads close to the Fitzherbert bridge. Blood in and around the car led to the supposition that the occupant or occupants had received severe cuts. The car, from appearances, seemed to have, ascended the cliff for about 30 feet, then slid back until its progress was impeded by a concrete water trough. The water in the trough bore signs that indicated that the driver had washed his hands there before leaving. It is understood that the car, which bears an Auckla’nd registration number, belongs to a Wanganui resident.
