RACEHORSE KILLED
Collision With Service Car UNUSUAL ACCIDENT An unusual accident occurred on Saturday morning. The racehorse Lineage was being ridden from the Trentham racecourse along Camp Road toward Mr. Sid Reed's stables by a jockey, Alan Minchin, when it bolted. Arriving at the corner of Camp Road and the main Hutt Road, the horse encountered a service motor-car, and collided with it, receiving injuries from which it died. Minchin, who was not seriously hurt, was attended by Dr. Tweed.
